THE PRESERVE LIFE

Combine your dreams with our experience.

We build your lifestyle into your home by listening carefully, assembling the right architecture design and builder team, and monitoring the process. We leave no stone unturned in exploring all the options for the home of your dreams.

Our process is simple and effective: Choose your homesite, pick your plan, and leave the heavy lifting to us.

1. Find your perfect spot.

Each of our four homesite collections — Tidewater, Grove, Estuary, Farmstead — offers inspiring settings for your coastal home. Whether you prefer water views, the canopy of a maritime forest, the grasses and wildlife of an estuary, or the open fields of an organic farm, Salt Wynd offers exceptional natural surroundings. And each homesite has an ideal combination of privacy and connection to the larger community. They exist in a maritime forest where much of the natural space has been protected and preserved in perpetuity.

2. Get the perfect plan.

At Salt Wynd Preserve, you have many options when it comes to the design of your home. We don’t adhere to a specific architectural vernacular. We believe that a diversity of architectural styles can contribute to an increased sense of community.

You can select a completed plan from the Salt Wynd Architect Series, and even customize it to suit your needs. Or work with our team to create a stunning one-of-a-kind custom home. Or bring in your own plan for us to review with you.

3. Break ground.

As we finalize and assemble all the plans — including architectural drawings, landscape plan, survey and topography, site plan, and tree survey — our team helps you prepare the package for committee review. Once approved … it’s time to break ground. The building process will look something like this:

  1. Prepare construction site and pour foundation
  2. Rough framing
  3. Rough plumbing, electrical and HVAC
  4. Install insulation
  5. Complete drywall and interior fixtures; start exterior finishes
  6. Finish interior trim; install exterior walkways and driveway
  7. Finish interior trim; install exterior walkways and driveway
  8. Finish mechanical trims; install bathroom fixtures
  9. Install mirrors and shower doors; finish flooring and exterior landscaping

4. Enjoy your new home.

After work is completed on the inside of the house, the final cleanup takes around a week. During this time the exterior landscaping will be put together to make the house as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. After the final inspection, a certificate of occupancy will be awarded, and you will do a final walkthrough of the property. At that time, the builder will go over the warranty details. After the closing, you’ll have the keys to your new home. Welcome to Salt Wynd Preserve.
